The premiere of the ROOTS collection for the Summer 2022 season took place on June 23, 2021. The collection, which is already available for sale in stationary boutiques and at robertkupisz.com, was illustrated with atmospheric photos by Martyna Mierzejewska and a film by Paweł Grabowski and WOW Pictures.

ROOTS is the story of our roots, a tribute to the ethnic and cultural diversity that is the origins of humanity. “I have always been fascinated by cultures from all over the world. In my previous collections, I often used topics related to a specific group. I was inspired by, among others: the culture of the Highlanders, Roma and Latinos. This time I decided to go deeper.” – Robert Kupisz talks about inspiration. “Some time ago I became interested in an album with photographs of traditional body painting among African tribes. This art is one of the first forms of expression. Body painting was used during various ceremonies to express emotions and status, and among some ethnic groups it was adopted as a type of everyday attire. This inspired me to create clothes that, in a modernized form, will give us the opportunity to emphasize our individuality and express ourselves through clothing. ROOTS is, in its own way, a continuation of the NOW collection for the Winter 2021/22 season, which was dominated by colors and prints with animal motifs. This theme, these patterns, these colors have not exhausted my imagination, they still excite me.” – adds the designer of the Qπш brand.

In ROOTS, in addition to the continuation of animal motifs, we also find prints inspired by body paintings, which were printed on fabrics and knitted fabrics and became the main motif of the collection. The prints also included tribal masks and a predatory cat - a symbol of strength and courage. The collection is dominated by earthy colors: browns, beiges combined with intense colors: orange, blue, yellow, red.

The diversity of the ROOTS collection means that everyone will find something for themselves. The offer includes a surprising variety of patterns and prints, airy fabrics and the recognizable "shopper" casualness.

Robert has managed to get us used to the fact that most of the brand's collections have universal cuts and are unisex. This time it couldn't be different! The flagship product of the collection are airy, multi-colored shirts. The collection included loose sweatshirts with prints and characteristic fringes, denim trousers with lower crotches and a wide range of shorts. For women, the designer offers light, sensually wrapping dresses that, thanks to the selection of appropriate accessories and footwear, will work well both on the beach and in the city. Known for his love of spending holidays at the Polish seaside, Robert also thought about essentials for colder days. ROOTS offers customer-loved shirts made of soft flannel, a checkered coat, nylon jackets and vests, a raincoat, as well as colorful hats and beanies. The fabrics are primarily soft, high-quality cotton, certified viscose from sustainable production, nylon and jeans made from a combination of cotton and recycled cotton. The entire collection was produced in Poland.

The author of the photos presenting the atmosphere of the ROOTS collection is Martyna Mierzejewska, who specializes in street fashion photography. Her photos from international Fashion Weeks were published, among others, in Esquire Singapure. This time Martyna faced a new challenge and took photos on a Baltic beach. The session was created in Robert's beloved Jurata, with which he feels a deep bond.

The photos are complemented by a film by Paweł Grabowski from WOW Pictures.

The ROOTS Summer 2022 collection is now available for pre-order at online robertkupisz.com. In company boutiques located in Warsaw, Gdynia and Poznań. The ROOTS collection will be available from July on the showroom.pl and moliera2.com platforms and in multibrand boutiques cooperating with the brand in Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław, Kielce and Zakopane.
