ANGEL by Qπш Robert Kupisz

ANGEL is the seventeenth collection of the Qπш Robert Kupisz brand. The new collection for the fall/winter 2019/20 season was illustrated with a film and a series of black and white photos by Daniel Jaroszek.
“We live in a constant sense of threat, we are dragging the demons of the past behind us, we are looking for support in various places, we are looking for answers to questions that have no easy answers. We want a moment of respite and a safe shelter. An angel who will protect us. An angel who will fight and chase away all evil. This was my inspiration and this is what the film promoting the collection is about - about the eternal fight between good and evil." – Robert Kupisz talks about the collection and adds: "We present the Angel collection in the form of a short film, not our standard show, because we want to show the essence and spirit of the Qπш brand to an international audience."
In his inspirations, the designer reached for extreme topics. From niche subcultures often treated as outcasts of society, specific fallen angels, to innocent communion clothes and liturgical vestments. The entire collection is, of course, presented in an unconventional, truly "shop" style.
The collection is in black and white and gray with flashes of silver, gold and blood red. Very eloquent slogans were used on the clothes: SECURUS (from Latin: safe), AMEN (from Hebrew: let it be done) and a quote from Psalm 91:11 "For he will order his angels to protect u wherever u go" (transl. He has given commandments to the angels concerning you, to keep you in all your ways. There were also wings, which appear in the form of prints and patches.
The Kupisz woman and man are strong personalities, ready to fight for their own rights and not afraid to express themselves through avant-garde styling. Their outfits are often inspired by military uniforms, protective clothing and uniforms of security companies. The brand's offer included oversized T-shirts, sweatshirts, loose denim dresses, sequined and mesh tops. The collection's eye-catching features include vests, jackets and trousers made of silver cotton fabric, as well as shiny, sequined skirts and dresses. The new product is an original collection of jewelry that complements the styling of silhouettes: earrings and pendants with the Qπш logo.
In the film inaugurating the premiere of the Angel collection, the director took us to an alternative techno party where two worlds that inspired the creation of the collection clash. The main character wanders underground corridors in search of symbolic goods. Despite many temptations and distracting madness, he does not fall into the whirlwind of the world around him, but persistently pursues his goal, where his Angel is waiting for him. The selection of music is not accidental and also refers to the main themes of the collection. As the main musical background, we hear the singing of the choir, clashing with muffled club music, heard as if from behind the wall.
The film is accompanied by photos in which the main characters of the film present clothes from the latest collection in hypnotic, even trance-like poses.
The premiere of the film and photos announcing the ANGEL by Qπш Robert Kupisz collection is accompanied by pre-sales in the company's boutiques located in Warsaw, Gdynia and Poznań, in the original online boutique www.robertkupisz.com, on the showroom.pl platform and in multibrand boutiques cooperating with the brand in Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław, Kielce, Prague, Munich, Florence, Valencia and Berlin.
