YUPPIE by QΠШ Robert Kupisz Summer 2024

The boom of the 1980s and 1990s has already become legendary. His influence on fashion defined the yuppie style that reached Poland after 1989. It was typical of young wolves ready to conquer the free market. Among them was Robert Kupisz - a student at the time who opened his own dance school. Another period in the designer's life became the inspiration to create the latest "YUPPIE" collection for the QΠШ ROBERT KUPISZ brand.
Young businessmen from the past emphasized their success with their clothes. The yuppie style was visible on the streets and in television series. Robert Kupisz completed his wardrobe in Germany. White shirts, an ankle-length coat, black shoes and pants with pleats became his fashion weapons on the way to success.
“I wanted to look serious, like a young businessman. I also had a briefcase, almost empty, and a large wallet stuffed with business cards. There was a bit of pretense to it all, but the yuppie style and the times that created it still arouse curiosity. Today they come back to us, also in a new collection," said Robert Kupisz.
Business cuts were passed through the streetwear filter of the QΠШ ROBERT KUPISZ brand. The new products include numerous jackets, shirts, leather jackets and coats. Subdued colors, typical of office styling, have gained a new dimension thanks to oversize cuts, raw finishes and specially designed prints. Among them, the one with the inscription "I'M ENOUGH" stands out, contrasting with the aspiring yuppie lifestyle and referring to the path to self-acceptance. The latest collection is made mainly of fabrics with certificates such as OEKO-TEX® and GOTS.
The concept of the advertising campaign for the "YUPPIE" collection combines the image of the ancient and modern business world. Against the background of Warsaw's skyscrapers, shining symbols of dynamic development, clothes inspired by previous decades were displayed. The photos show the dynamic silhouettes of Zuzanna Kaczmarczyk and Jakub Grabski in the company of Bartek Janicki, Bruno Skrzyszowski, Glib Lutskyi, Kacper Rogowskie and Łukasz Ponciliusz. An intriguing visual mixture of dreams of success was photographed by Agata Serge.
“I had the pleasure of preparing both the concept and taking photos of Robert Kupisz's new campaign, which not only reflects Robert's beautiful, new version as a designer, but also shows the fruit of our artistic collaboration. Collaboration on current campaigns has been one of the most satisfying experiences in my photographic career. Our connection is based on shared passion, sensitivity and boundless trust. When creating the concept for the SS23 campaign, we went one step further, creating frames that not only perfectly reflect Robert's designs, but are also iconic photographs in themselves. For me, as a photographer, it is the most beautiful form of working on commercial projects, without forgetting, however, that photography itself should delight and engage the recipients for a long time," commented Agata Serge.
The camera operator on the set was the talented Paweł Grabowski from WOW Pictures. The spinning shots he captured, edited to the rhythm of electronic music, interpret the fast-paced business world in which modern yuppies move nimbly.
The designer Robert Kupisz was responsible for styling the models during the photo session. The campaign was produced by Ania Borowska from ART WORKS.
The latest "YUPPIE" collection by QΠШ ROBERT KUPISZ is on sale in the brand's online store and stationary boutiques from July 17, 2023. It will soon be available in cooperating boutiques and on the Zalando.pl and Moliera2.com sales platforms.
