The new Orient by QΠШ Robert Kupisz collection for the spring/summer 2021 season had its official premiere on June 19, 2020 in the form of an image session by photographer Agata Serge.
“The ORIENT collection is a bit of my escape from quarantine,” laughs the brand's designer Robert Kupisz. “Japanese art and philosophy have fascinated me for years. The isolation of this island for many centuries has made their culture very individual, which appeals to me in a special way. I planned to visit this country, but due to the pandemic it is currently impossible, so I decided to go on a journey of imagination and, despite everything, show the Japanese orient in the new collection.
The main theme of the collection are graphics inspired by Japanese pop art and the alphabet. “I was inspired by Japanese fonts because the characters in this alphabet are beautiful graphics, and when written with a brush they look like sophisticated tattoos. Japanese pop art has been setting trends and inspiring artists around the world for years. Saturated with colors and a characteristic graphic line, it was my inspiration for the prints in the Orient collection," says the designer.
The clothes from the Orient collection are soft and extremely comfortable, and at the same time sensual in a non-obvious way, both for men and women. Kupisz's man is a modern warrior dressed in a sweeping kimono, a suit inspired by Japanese design or leather pants and a large T-shirt with a hood. The woman is wrapped in soft, flowing fabrics, gently emphasizing the advantages of the body: the beauty of the arms, back, neck, and shapely legs. It's hard to take your eyes off silk kimono dresses with a large slit, in the color of cherry blossoms. Dresses and T-shirts made of silky supima cotton wonderfully emphasize the softness of movement. Long and short wrap skirts are suitable for virtually any occasion, depending on the accessories. As usual, the collection includes sports sweatshirts, T-shirts, trousers and shorts. Sweatshirts, jackets and skirts with fringes are an interesting proposition. The color proposition is saturated, pure pink and blue, gray, black and white. The fabrics used are mainly ecological etamine, silk, soft high-quality viscose, organic cotton jeans, and high-quality cotton knitted fabrics, among others. supima.
The author of the photos for the image campaign promoting the Orient by Qπш Robert Kupisz collection is Agata Serge. “Colour, dynamism and self-confidence, which are the hallmarks of Robert Kupisz's new collection, required a unique setting. When creating it, I decided to illuminate the scene with projector light, which offers enormous possibilities. By duplicating the unique graphic designs accompanying the collection, we transported ourselves to the world of the Orient and created a campaign that stands out from others, thus emphasizing the expressiveness of the brand that has been cultivated over the years," says the photographer.
The Orient S/S2021 collection is now available for pre-order at robertkupisz.com online. The Orient collection will be available from July 1 in company boutiques located in Warsaw, Gdynia and Poznań, on the showroom.pl and moliera2.com platforms and in multibrand boutiques cooperating with the brand in Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław and Kielce.
